This listing is for an incredible example of Edo Period Japanese art.
This original woodblock print dates to the 18th century and is the work of Utagawa Toyokuni 歌川豊国 (1769 – 24 February 1825).
Toyokuni is regarded as one of the great masters of ukiyo-e, also known for his kabuki actor prints.
This signed print depicts noble women with parasols The detailing is quite marvelous.
Toyokuni;s signature can be seen on the right.
The back of the print has Japanese writing.
This piece comes in a wooden frame. The frame measures 15.75 x 21.25 inches
