The Taza features a bowl made of iridescent abalone shell, which is supported by a silver base with intricate figural detailing. Possibly a religious baptismal or holy water vessel. Features a large enameled and gilded silver dolphin fish and a Christ figure with gilded halo, gripping a cross-adorned flag. Vessel is surmounted an oblong triangular base with additional blue "sea wave" enamel decoration. Incised to underside with Latin motto EXURGE, DOMINE, ADIUVA NOS, ET LIBERA NOS ("Ars, Lord, help us and free us"). less
