La Teresina was a famous Spanish Flamenco dancer in the 1930s.
Dody Weston Thompson (1923-2012), a student of Edward Weston's and an assistant to Ansel Adams, became a major figure in the West Coast Photographic Movement. Briefly married to Brett Weston, she was a founding member of Aperture magazine.
