This remarkable Kindel Grand Rapids piece opens to 60” with the leaves extended, 36” w when closed. Superb condition. Amazing wood grain and finish. Companion to the large Kindel sideboard hutch also for sale in the Lucía Landa Collection.
Kindel makes each masterpiece especially for order in its Grand Rapids, Michigan facility. It is more of a work studio than a factory. Kindel does not do mass production and does not make a product until its original customer orders it. Kindel artisans are committed to let every chair, desk, table, bed, chest, sofa, and side piece emerge with integrity and handcraftsmanship. And be its own unique piece.
In 1901, Charles J. Kindel founded Kindel Furniture Company. The company transferred ownership in 1964 when Kindel was purchased by John Fisher of Muncie, Indiana. The Fisher family has maintained family ownership for over 50 years with a stalwart dedication to 100% American-made furniture. While other companies have sought lower cost methods and offshore production, Kindel has championed a standard for domestic work.
