A lavish and intricately carved French 19th Century Napoleon III style giltwood oval mirror, the highly decorative oval frame is truly dazzling. Richly embellished with finely carved Neoclassical designs, a circling egg and dart pattern, scrolling acanthus leaves, and floral motifs, the oval frame also showcases thick and remarkably intact giltwork. The antique mirror glass is in excellent condition and shimmers next to the patinated gold leaf finish throughout the frame. Small cracks in the wood can be seen on the interior of the molding, be sure to view all the images to get a closer look at the details and current condition of this incredible mirror.
