A woodblock reproduction of an original 1690 ink on silk painting by Japanese artist Hishikawa Moronobu entitled Mikaeri Bijin (A Beauty Looking Back). The original painting is housed at the Tokyo National Museum. This image appeared on Japan's first commemorative stamp in. 1948. This offering has an estimated production date of mid to late 20th century. The sheet is approximately 7" x 12".
Very good vintage condition with vibrant colors. The sheet has some curvature to the upper left that won't be a problem if framed. This will no be stored under some weight, therefore, this issue may be resolved.
