Elegant antique meat dome by one of Englands finest silversmiths of the 19th century.
Beautifully hand engraved armorial crest coat of arms
The dome is Sheffield-Plate, an old technique where a sheet of silver is fused on copper, AKA Old Sheffield, Rolled Silver. The dome itself appears to have been hand hammered.
Plating is in remarkably good condition, especially considering they are 200 +/- years old. Stamped with Matthew Biulton's double sunburst hallmark.
14.5" Wide x 11.5" Deep x 9" Tall with Handle, 6" without Handle The dome appears to have been hand hammered.
