An exceptional and rare rosewood and aluminum table designed by Jørgen Kastholm and Preben Fabricius in the 1960s, showcasing the clean elegance and refined industrialism that made this Danish duo icons of modernist design.
The gorgeously figured rosewood top features rich tonal variation and depth, framed by a substantial 1.25" thick profile. The table rests on a sculptural three-leg base constructed from finely machined aluminum bars, accented with visible Allen head fasteners that lend a precision-engineered aesthetic. The 2" wide by 0.5" thick aluminum stretchers give the piece both visual lightness and structural strength.
This is a true collector's piece—rare on the market and exemplary of the duo’s fusion of organic materials and minimalist form. The underside reveals the superb construction and craftsmanship (see detailed photos), further underscoring the quality.
With a 26.5" clearance beneath, this table works beautifully as a centerpiece table for florals, a retail display, a library or book table, or even a game table. The height could be modified for dining use if desired.
