Harold Altman (1924-2003) is a prolific artist whose works have been exhibited at numerous galleries and exhibits, both in the United States and abroad. He is represented in nearly every significant collection in the world, among them New York's Museum of Modern Art, the Whitney, the Brooklyn Museum, the Victoria and Albert Museum of London, the Stedeiijk Musuem of Amsterdam, and the Bibliotheque Nationale in Paris.

Altman was a renowned and highly esteemed American painter and printer best known for his color lithographs depicting Central Park, rural Pennsylvania towns and the parks of Paris. Known for his high degree of photographic realism, he captures the subtle nuances and beauty endemic to each of the city parks he represents.
