Very … Read more This is a particularly large weaving from this central Persian town o Nain which began carpet-making in the 1930’S. Very finely woven on cotton, this piece shows a near black millefleurs field supporting seven full and two lateral half columns of ecru cartouches enclosing weeping willows or petal palmettes. Ecru border of petal palmettes, leaves and florets. Most modern Nains are in medallion styles, so this large one is doubly rare. Good condition. See less
