The tailored upper door panel scrollwork complements the scrolls of the apron, with all other lines being rectilinear and classically inspired. The top features solid planks with a lightly stained finish providing contrast and a better-wearing surface. Brass key guards and hinges have been painted over for a homogeneous appearance. Capacious interior with two shelves for three surfaces creates very functional storage. Note the solid plank and chamfered panel construction visible on the back side, displaying the double-pegged mortise & tenon joinery used throughout the design.
