Artist Biography
Tohsinobu Onosato, b.1912- 1986, moved to Kiryu in Gunama, Japan when he was 10. He learned oil painting at Atelier Tsuda Seifu from 1931. He participated in the WW2 from 1941 in Manchuria, he was not able to return to Japan until 1948. After returning to Japan, he continued to paint and print circles in Kiryu. He represented Japan at the Venice Biennale in 1964 and 1966.
