This means that gold and silver are combined with each other. The lamp base is fluted (the fluting is the vertical groove of an object, usually a column, a pillar or a pilaster with concave grooves). So you could also say that the lamp base is a modern interpretation of a Greek pilaster. The material and the fluting ensure that the light is reflected and the lamp base is shown to its best advantage.
The lamp dates from approximately the 1980s. The lamp was rewired and the lampshade remade. The lampshade is gold on the inside, which makes the light pleasant. The outside wrapping is made of a natural linen fabric in the color turquoise. The lamp has a European E27 socket.
