Sax Berlin has such mastery over his craft. This piece is exceptional, there's beautiful imagery, sumptuous colour, and the Wise Women. Berlin has mixed beauty, strength and mythos in this Neo-classical painting, it's a truly great work of figurative art and Berlin is justifiably proud of it. There's an outpouring of so much skill, love and stunning technique in this painting where the artist has ground his own pigments and incorporated luxuary in the form of 24 ct white and gold leaf. Sumptious. It truely is a work of art of museum quality and it pays homage to the genius that is Sax Berlin.
