Tribute to athos bulcao, brazilian painter and sculptor who collaborated with oscar niemeyer and colored his brasilia with the "azulejos" - glazed and decorated ceramic architectural ornaments - the athos collection is a three-dimensional interpretation of the work of bulcao, in which the designer giorgio bonaguro combines the white carrara marble, typical italian stone, to the azul macaubas, a brazilian granite, creating a physical and ideal bridge between the two countries. The graphic sign of the azulejos is thus transformed into matter, into a pillar that is both base and decoration and which plays with contrasts, stylized forms and calligraphy, where calòs - the beauty meet graphia - the writing. Athos tables are part of the collection “marble stories”, a project by giorgio bonaguro, gustavo martini and ronald sasson, in collaboration with marimar srl. These italian-brazilian designers decided to develop a common exhibition project in which their styles interact to tell different stories around a single precious material: marble. Giorgio bonaguro studied mechanical engineering in modena and then graduated at scuola politecnica di design in milan, in the double master of industrial and interior design. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
