Incredibly ribbed cigar table lamp of unknown origin. This lamp looks like it might have been made in the late 1940s to the early 1950s, possibly predating the design George Nelson's bubble lamps. The lamp shade looks to be made of the same material as Nelson's lamps with brass accents, an internal metal wire cage and a pull chain with a wooden ball finial. When lit this lamp boasts an incredibly beautiful warm glow that really shows off its "rib cage" and when it's not turned on the patina of the lamp shade is just really beautiful to look at! An exceptionally and one-of-a-kind mid century modern piece!
