Decorate a tabletop with this colorful, antique Majolica planter. Sculpted in France circa 1860, the ceramic vase stands on three bracket feet over a round and bombe body topped with a scalloped edge. The cache pot is decorated with three medallions of bird and foliage motifs in high relief; it is further embellished with faux bamboo borders throughout. The medallion compositions are very well depicted and beautifully detailed. The ceramic pot is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns rich colors in a dark blue, turquoise, green, brown and yellow palette.
