This pop art poster of Richard Lindner’s 1966 work “The Telephone”, was published in 1980 by Motif Editions London in an unnumbered limited edition print for the “the obsessive image” exhibition at the Institute of Contemporary Arts.
Richard Lindner (1901 - 1978) took up painting in his 50s, drawing on expressionistic exaggeration, Surrealist fantasy, and Cubist manipulations of form. He is known for harsh colors and highly defined outlines
