This fabulous and arresting vintage 1980's Karl Lagerfeld necklace is called the mariner necklace and wraps many times over on the neck or can be staggered. It is a brass metal chain called rolo links of 2 intertwined circles with interspersed black resin oval almond shaped disks. There are 6 black disks. Each resin disk is 1 .5 inches long or wide and 1.25: D. Each double circle is 1.25" W. It is a timeless necklace. When opened up it is 54 " L. It and 25 inches long double sided with the lobster clasp closed before you wrap as you would place it on your neck. It becomes 12.5 inches high or long on your neck if you evenly wrap twice. Staggered could be any dimension. There is a KL hanging tag. This was most likely a runway piece. This is pure Karl Lagerfeld when he was living and designing. A great addition it would be to your collection.
