This is part of Chairish’s Costume Jewelry assortment.
This signed vintage Frederick Mosell 2 tier bib necklace is from the 1955-1960. It has a combination of periods of Egyptian Revival, Etruscan and Renaissance in design and execution. The large cabachon faux baroque pearls are offset by surround rhinestones. The gilt metal that is textured is in segments that almost reticulate. It is put together with gilt chains. It can be shortened depending on how tight your wish to use it as more of a high collar necklace. This one eers on the rare side as it is 2 tier. It is a stellar piece and one of elegant dramatic flare. He was Pairisian and started his establishment and business in 1940. His pieces are highly collectible now as they are very hard to find. It is marked Mosell on both sides of the heart drop in the back. The height is 17" L x 1 3.4" wide. A most unusual necklace for your special nights out.
