Painter Joseph Müller Pauly was born in Cologne in 1917. He studied painting at Leibnitz. He became known worldwide for his watercolor landscapes. His compositions are inspired by the English school of the 19th century, with a highly personal impressionist approach. Joseph Müller Pauly died in Beselich-Niedertiefenbach in 1994.
