Decorate a tabletop with this colorful, majolica basket composition. Crafted in France circa 1960, the centerpiece features a realistic assortment of fruits and vegetables in high relief set inside a white basket decorated with a weave motif. The still life arrangement includes grapes, tomato, chestnut, eggplant, apple, pepper, prune, and much more. The sculptural barbotine composition is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns rich and vivid colors; it would make a charming, French country addition to any kitchen counter top or dining table.
