Hard to find in such excellent condition, almost 200 year old, child’s tea set made in the Staffordshire region of England in the year 1840. Dated by the stamp on the underside, this darling sheet-patterned blue on white floral patterned set would be only too cute displayed in a little girls room or lovingly in a grandmothers corner cupboard to be brought out to enjoy a cup of tea with Grandma.
These sets were said to have been produced to teach young girls how to properly enjoy the art of tea as their parents had.
Set includes lidded teapot (size listed), lidded sugar 4 1/2”x4 1/2”, cream pitcher 4”w x 3”h, two cake plates 6” x 1/2”, six cups 3 1/2”w x 2”h, six saucers ranging from 4 1/4” to 4 1/2” by 7/8”h. Also will be including three additional cups and saucers that have some damage
