This pottery company was founded around 1906 by Ransbottom in Roseville. Ohio a well known place for other pottery companies. The company soon merged with Robinson and became Robinson-Ransbottom. The company underwent many name changes and was closed in 2005. There are many pottery ponies from this time and some pieces are very valuable. This piece when made at the time was considered utilitarian fir everyday use, so numerous pieces were manufactured, however because they were considered everyday pieces many broke or were damaged over the 100 years of operation. This piece has no damage, little to crazing, crazing is normal for a piece this old, no chips or cracks. And can still be used the interior is clean. See photos. The coloring if this piece varies depending on light. But it is a rich creamy color with a yellow undertone and rich brown stripes along the bottom See less
