This is a beautifully decorated wicker chest with feet. It has a removable lid that fits tightly that can be easily removed by pulling the ring on the top. It is very sturdy to sit on or use as a foot stool, with wonderful storage for a blanket, games, toys, crafts, sewing, knitting or crocheting…
This is probably Mid Century Modern, but could be older. It appears to have the original paper lining, all intact, as well as original textile cover that matches the decorative wicker chest.

- The wicker is in great shape. There is slight wear of the paint on the wicker diamond on the front. … moreThe wicker is in great shape. There is slight wear of the paint on the wicker diamond on the front. There is an end piece to the wicker in the back that seems to be in tact, it is just tucked inside. The lid fits tightly onto the base but is no longer secured by the missing hardware. This hardware is not necessary. The chains are disconnected from the lid and still intact on the inside. There is a bit of white paint splashed on one of the feet that is barely visible. There is one nail missing on the lid that holds the rattan to the lid. There is wear to the fabric, but does not need to be replaced. Amazingly, there is absolutely no must or mildew odor. There is a stain on the paper on the interior lid. There is a slight tear on the interior paper lining in the front. Please refer to photographs. I am happy to answer any questions or supply more photographs. I try to exactly explain all the flaws. This is an awesome piece that is in great shape, well worth it! less
