This Wassily Kandinsky vintage 1958 Abstract lithograph print " Study for Composition II " is a very special and unique piece to add to your collection.
Wassily Kandinsky ( 1866 - 1944 ) was a Russian born Abstract Modernist painter and art theorist. He is considered to be one of the most important Abstract artists of all time. He was an educator at the famous Bauhaus School in Germany. He is credited with theories relating to his original color compositions and concepts of spiritual life and humanity in his artworks.
This authentic vintage lithograph print was printed in 1958 in Japan. It feature an artwork image originally created by Kandinsky in 1910 titled " Study for Composition II ". The lithograph print is a page from an authentic vintage artists publication. attached to a page from an authentic artist's publication by a method called " tipping " where the lithograph plate is attached by hand to the page on 2 corners. This print is suitable for framing.
The lithograph print measures 9 1/4" W X 6 3/4" H, on a page that is 11 1/4" W X 8" H. It is in great vintage condition consistent with age and light signs of handling. It has never been framed, and is now being offered here for an excellent price.
