This carpet comes (formerly Persia) and as a Persian rug enjoys probably the highest reputation among all hand-knotted rug types. No other region looks back on such a long tradition in rug making as Persian. Thus, the probably finest and most elaborate rugs originate here. The robustness, durability and quality of the Persian knot are still unsurpassed today. Persian rugs are usually named after their region of origin.
HANDSPUN WOOL
This rug is made of hand spun sheep wool of the highest quality. Wool has proven itself as a natural and extremely hard-wearing material over centuries. Among other things, it has dirt-repellent and heat-insulating properties. At the same time, wool is incomparably soft and has a natural shine.
