This antique mirror from France features an exaggerated arch pediment top with dentil molding beneath the top trim and pair of rosy-cheeked cherub faces carved within a cloudy-ray sunburst featured prominently at top center. The arched mirror is flanked within Roman Corinthian style columns, and bell-flower trim molding adorns the inner surround. The lower frame is embellished with a floral and bow-tied ribbon motif. This piece retains its original paint and gilt finish, with old crackled finish and patina; a lovely show of its history and age. The mirror is later, not original. This late 18th century French mirror is an impressive piece with a height of just over 6 feet, and approximately 4.75 feet wide. See less
