Rare example of Eqyptomania artwork that was produced following the archeological discoveries of the 1920's. This handmade applique wall hanging, signed by the artist, depicts the coronation of King Ptolemy VIII flanked by Nekhbet (Goddess of Upper Egypt) and Wajit (Goddes of Lower Egypt), based on the wall carving at the Temple Horus in Edfu. (Photograph of carving included for reference).
