The paper he uses is high-quality hand-made luxury paper from Bohemia Paper, a family owned Czech company known for their old-world style and craftsmanship. This is a set of 3 boxes of stationary cards each with 10 folded cards and envelopes. It features hand-printed designs drawing inspiration from historic engravings, antique maps, botanical, and art nouveau designs. Orbs cards are engraved, embossed, hand-colored, and hand-printed using printing methods dating back to the 16th century. He engraves and prints personalized stationary and correspondence cards emphasizing the art of letter writing.
Master printer Jan Petr Orb resurrected the Bohemia Paper company in Prague in 1991. He began producing his brand of luxury handcrafted stationary on 100% cotton paper. He opened Orbis Geogaphica and with his new artist Lenka Vojtova and engraver Milan Nemec began producing new note cards, invitations, announcements, and stationary. The company was known for the exquisite hand-printed craftsmanship that also featured engravings, embossing, and hand-coloring.
