Up the steps on the bank is a corner of the little cabin. It is summer and the trees are leafed out and the creek is shaded and cool. The colors are deep blue and green with hints of the iron red rocks at the shore. The painting is 16x20 inches. The frame is 18 inches by 22 inches and is finished in a soft silver. Note there are 3 tiny imprefection sin the silver finish on the top. They are silver but visible upon close inspection. A happy painting of playful innocence.

Marina Movshina is an American artist known for landscape painting, and for her illustrations of children’s books, as well as her botanicals. Her paintings have been selected for the exhibition of distinguished alumni at Carnegie-Mellon’s Centennial Celebration of its College of Fine Art, the Logan Center at the University of Chicago and the Harlin Museum in West Plains, MO. An elected artist member of the American Artists’ Professional League, New York, NY, she is admired for her skill as a painter and draftsman in the handling of space, depiction of light, and expert use of color. She received a B.F.A. from Carnegie-Mellon University and studied at the Art Students’ League, New York, NY, Washington University, St. Louis, MO, and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Chicago, IL. Marina lives in St. Louis, MO.
