walnut and cherry veneer with rich marquetry inlays in plum, maple, ebony and green-stained wood.
gold-leaf decorative strip above and below and ornaments in the middle.
large box lock on the central drawer that locks the other drawers up and down. The original iron fittings gold-plated in the restoration.
