This wonderful pitcher is made of stoneware. This piece is stamped as being made by Royal Doulton in England with the item number 711, see pictures, and the stamp dates this piece to 1901-1922. This pitcher is made in a style typical of Doulton Lambeth pieces, and it is one of Royal Doulton's motto / sayings pieces; it features a brown and dark blue color scheme with an embossed off-white design of leaves around the middle, and it has a quote on the front that reads "Here's to thee, my honest friend, wishing these hard times to mend."
The measurements are: height=7 1/2" width including spout and handle=7 1/4" depth=5" approx.
