Unusual standing desk which would have possibly been used for giving lectures or for concierge administration. Made from pine, with a school writing slope flip lid, with a well underneath for storage, brass ink well sliding catch, but no ink well present. Single door cupboard with later brass latch, which partially functions in keeping the door closed. Cupboard interior contains 2 fixed shelves. Stands on 2 sledge feet with castors. Ready for everyday use, but clear signs that this piece was a working piece of furniture, with surface marks and wear to woodwork. See less
