Signed and dated 1980 … Read more A lovely contemporary studio clear art glass decanter with an etched turtle design by Ronald Pennell. Signed and dated 1980 on the bottom. In 1977, Pennell began to engrave on glass and in 1979, he exhibited at the Corning Museum World Glass Exhibition and World Tour, which brought his work to international attention. He was also represented in the Corning Museum New Glass Review throughout the 1980s. Since 1974, Pennell has exhibited in Britain, Europe, the United States and Japan, including regular exhibitions this century in London and internationally with Contemporary Applied Arts. From a private collection, originally purchased from Habatat Galleries in Michigan. Dimensions: 11”h x 3.25”dia. In very good condition.
