Beautiful Louis XIV picture frame with a warm, aged patina.
Partial label on back of frame indicates this frame came from Galerie Durand-Ruel at 37, Avenue de Friedland, Paris. Durand-Ruel was founded by Jean-Marie-Fortuné Durand and his wife Marie-Ferdinande Ruel in 1830. Passed down to subsequent generations, it was a family run business until it closed in 1974.
