Vintage Stangl Pottery Magnolia Pattern Hand Crafted Creamer
The Stangl Magnolia pattern was designed by Kay Hackett and was introduced in 1952. It remained in production until 1978. This pattern was the first to utilize a new green engobe also developed by Kay Hackett that was different than the usual white Stangl backgrounds. The pattern is one of many floral-themed designs and features incised lines and raised detail. Like most Stangl, it is hand painted with no two pieces exactly alike. This creamer features a large red magnolia flower on the branch on one side and small white wildflowers on the other side, It has an easy pour spout and comfortably designed handle.
Measures ~ 5" L x 3" W x 3" H. Holds ~ 6 ounces.
In excellent vintage condition. Without chips, deep scratches, or cracks. The artwork is intact and the colors are bright. The glaze is shiny. During production, the green englobe around the top rim was applied unevenly in a small area. Please see the pictures.
