Klaas and Jacob Vet open their pottery factory in Purmerend in 1903. They already had the necessary ceramic experience. Klaas acquired this as a modeller at Plateelbakkerij De Distel in Amsterdam, Jacob as a pottery painter at Brantjes in Purmerend. The decorative and functional pottery that the brothers market is simple and graceful in shape, and features stylized decors such as flowers and butterflies.
