The first edition softcover book is published by Prestel Verlag Munich / london / New York, printed in The Czech Republic in 2001 on the occasion of the exhibition at The Verisicherungskammer Batern, Munchen. Lithography by Gloor Cross Media, Munich, printing and binding by Graspo, Ziln.

It features a monograph survey collection of the famous, iconic and highly coveted poster artworks of the artist Robert Rauschenberg, with compelling accompanied text authored by Marc Gundel in English and German language.

Robert Rauschenberg ( 1925 - 2008 ) The American born Modernist artist of a Jewish background is recognized as one of the 20Th Century's most influential and prolific artists. He is credited with binding the gap between the movements of Abstract Expressionism and Pop Art. A pioneer of the " Transfer Drawing " process, he experimented with technologically sophisticated combinations of photographs and drawings. He is highly regarded as a Modern Master of mixed media and collage. The works are layered and transcend the two dimensional format for the viewer. Art works by Rauschenberg are included in the collections of more than 70 of the world's most prestigious museums.

The rare out of print 1st edition exhibition art book measures 9" W X 11 3/4" H X 3/8" D, with 96 pages. It features 67 lithograph print poster artwork illustrations, catalogue list of plates, and artist chronology biography.
