The piece was completed ca. 2010 by street artist Alec Monopoly (born Alec Andon) and purchased directly from the artist in Los Angeles.

The themes commonly found in Monopoly’s work are representative of his own anti-Capitalist paradigm, often centering around characters from mainstream American media who have personified greed. His own moniker is derived from the classic board game of the same name.
