Much like the historic Totem that hails from native North American Indian and Inuit cultures. This items is shaped like a stacked story telling sculpture. There are references to the sky , the sun and the moon , animal spirits, and the human who is connected to nature and acts as a spirt guide and warrior and protector of the tribe. are various mediums used in this piece such as seashells feathers, leather, and bone along with various graphics and markings that are related to the story being revealed. Much like the makeup applied to the body in ceremony the paint on this piece is not applied with brush but likely rubbed on and applied by the hand. this item is a very special statement piece that demands to be given a place of preference wherever it's hung.
