this very interesting studio pottery ceramic vase has a beautiful light grey raku glaze that turns into more of a black tone towards the bottom.
The middle section has a beautiful hand painted multi-color abstract pattern.
It is also adorned with a string of small disc shaped beads hanging from a thread.
signed on the bottom by the artist : Michael Weinberg, there is also his makers stamp in the shape of an owl on the side of the vase.
it has a beautiful minimalist shape and design
A perfect piece of pottery art for display and use.

Michael Weinberg ( 1953 - 2016)
Michael was born in Michigan and moved to Arizona's Verde Valley in the mid 1970's.
For over three decades, Mike pursued a career in ceramics. He was a gifted artist, and clay was his element. His art evolved into a myriad of hand thrown lamps, vases, plates and unique shapes with creative embellishments all representing the colors and elements of the Arizona desert that he loved.
His pieces were prized and awarded repeatedly throughout juried art shows and galleries from coast to coast.
