Set of 12 Antique 1920's “NAFI’s Sealed” Glass Bottle/Beakers. These were once used to test milk for butterfat content. A complete set with carrying crate is a rare find! Believed to date to the 1920’s. Bottles have numbers printed up the necks. Tubes are graduated, 6.5” tall, with a base diameter of 1.25”. They come with a wooden divided crate/ carrying box. Bottles are in excellent condition! Glass is fairly clear and clean. No chips, cracks, or damage.
Perfect to repurpose as bud vases or industrial decor! Sold with the dried flowers and plastic flowers that you see in the photos. without the foliage, the piece measures 7 inches tall.
A bit more history:
These NAFIS bottles were used in a centrifuge invented by University of Wisconsin Professor Stephen M. Babcock to help determine butterfat content in milk.
This made it possible to fix standards for milk inspection and to set fair milk prices according to quality. This technology revolutionized the dairy industry and helped Wisconsin become a leader in US milk and dairy production.

- Upon inspection, If you decide not to move forward with the purchase, you or your agent must refuse the item at the time of pickup/delivery from the seller
