The outdoor sculpture had to be altered because the cantilevered bodies in the maquette could not be achieved in the larger size. Mr. Varela is a visual artist. He was born in Venezuela in 1948.
It is as if the female figures are teetering on a spin of a form of a bike; which is a balancing act and it is cantilevered.
It rotates as one figure faces one way and the other faces another way.
It consists of two female figures and a base.
The base is 3.5" H x 10.75" Square. The bottom figure is 13" H x 4.5" W and the top figure is 9" H x 4" W. See less
