This lovely 18th century tapestry has one of my favorite themes, birds especially a parrot! This type of Aubusson wool tapestry is called a "verdure" or greenscape in english we would call this a landscape. the reds have faded out to a gentle terra-cotta and the browns have become tan and the blues have become green. It is fully lined and restored. See less
