These Appear … Read more Outstanding Set of 4 Late 19th Century Jacob & Josef Kohn Bentwood Bistro Chairs with New Cane Seats. These Appear to be Somewhat Scarce in that the Back Chair Leg Tops are Ball Shaped Rather than Finial Shaped. The Cane Seats were Expertly Replaced by a 3rd Generation Caner. Amazingly, All 4 Chairs are Signed Twice on the Inside of the Seat Frames. They are Signed Once with a Paper Label and a Second Time Stamped into the Wood, Both Revealing their Country of Origin as Austria and the Manufacturer Jacob & Josef Kohn. See less

- The Overall condition of this set is excellent. All 4 chairs are as tight and sturdy as the day they … moreThe Overall condition of this set is excellent. All 4 chairs are as tight and sturdy as the day they were made. There are a few scuffs to the finish on several of the chairs across the fronts of the seat frame, but does not detract at all from their overall beauty. It Should be Noted that 3 of the Paper Labels attached to the inside of the seat frames are 90% to 97% intact with the 4th label only being about 25% intact. With the newly caned seats these chairs could easily remain in their present condition for another century. less
