Antique French Hand Painted Rosier Limoges Butterfly & Flowers Gilt Dresser Box.
Beautiful colors: vivid royal/cobalt blue with coral, green, and yellow gold accents. The blue has a satin matte finish. The gold at the rim has embossed patterning.
Very nice condition for age. No chips or cracks.
The inside rim of the lid has some little spots of discoloration.
There are a few faint short lines visible at the sides of the lid at the midway point near the border on the cobalt background. As if maybe someone had a tie or band around the box at some point. I have tried to capture them in pics 11, 12. They’re fairly insignificant and only visible from certain angles.
