  • "Samantha: I am so sorry, I went to try to get this art fixed and they basically would have to re-stretch the entire painting which is about the same price as the art. We looked at it and there is just no way around it. The only thing I can do is offer it at half price and ship as is or I could proceed and get it fixed, but the price would go up. Either way I will discount this to $99 if you really want it. I can shop around on price. I have an artist friend can ask. Let me know."

  • "Samantha: Ok I got some information and I think we should ask Chairish to hide the item till later tomorrow. It turns out doing a repair can be iffy and they need to look at it and see what they are dealing with and if they can do. The cost for that is labor and I will pay for that. If it can't be repaired, the restreching such a large painting is very expensive and prohibitive to selling for the list price. I am going to take it tomorrow and see if it can be repaired! More tomorrow!"

  • "That is a quick fix for sure. The only thing is I know it can be fixed, I just really don't know 100% if it is a reasonable expense to have it done. I am 90% sure it is reasonable to do. They are very helpful on Chairish team, so they can maybe hide it, but buying it would be faster. It will be very easy for them to refund you too. I doubt someone will buy within a few days, but you never know. I am calling art store now to see if they can give me idea over the phone."

  • "Well I just double checked and it looks like he didn't sign the front, but wrote on the back of the frame. The colors are dark and then very light and he probably didn't want it effecting the painting. I tried to look up this artist and didn't find him, but I love the paintings I acquired of his. This piece has a smaller section that needs to be re-stretched. If you are interested I will look into getting it done. I really don't know much about that, but can handle it on my side."
