Beautiful vintage Murano hand blown red and green stripes Italian art glass decorative dish, vide-poche bowl. The piece was created in a very thin glass, with alternating pattern of solid red and transparent green bands. You can feel each of the color bands around the piece, since it is not cased in a clear glass layer. It has a pontil mark on the bottom. Made in the manner of the "a Fasce" designs from the Venini company. I am not able to find a signature on the bottom. Would make a great display piece on any desk, vanity or curio cabinet. Use it as a catchall, candy or ring dish. Mid-century era. Measures 5" across the top x 1 3/4" high.
