Extraordinary brutalist hand formed and glazed pedestal bowl, in a period correct dusty rose glaze.
The glaze is highly textured in a technique that is skillfully applied, radiating outward, to reveal the clay origins underneath. (The glaze pigment is best shown in first three photos.). Along with the specific process of the applied glaze is a crackle finish throughout the interior and exterior of the bowl form.
The pedestal is a masterpiece of texture, mimicking concrete, and tapering slightly upward to adjoin the base of the bowl.
Diameter of the bowl is 14” and total height is 6”. The item commands the space and belongs in a skilled atmosphere.
